We offer three options for your custom label:

1. You Provide the Design

• We’ll add your brand name, fonts, and colors to our label design.

3. We Fully Design the Label

• A $100 one-time design fee applies for a completely custom label designed by us.

A completely designed label includes:

• Consultation: We work with you to understand your brand’s vision, style, and color preferences.
• Custom Artwork: Our team creates a unique label design tailored specifically for your brand.

• Revisions: Up to two rounds of revisions to ensure the label is exactly how you want it.
• Ready-to-Use Files: The final label will be print-ready and perfectly sized for your products.

Yes, we can create custom scents tailored exclusively to your brand!

Our process is simple and flexible:

1. Consultation: Share your vision or a specific scent you’d like us to replicate or blend.
2. Development: We’ll craft a custom fragrance based on your request, using premium ingredients to match your desired profile.
3. Approval: You’ll have the opportunity to approve the scent before we proceed with production.

Important Details:

• Cost: Custom scent development has a one-time fee of $400, with an additional $2 per unit for each product made with your exclusive scent.
• Confidentiality: All custom scents and formulations remain the property of Malaysian Lights. We do not disclose the ingredients or processes used to create your fragrance.
• Exclusivity: Your custom scent will remain exclusive to your brand as long as you maintain active orders or pay the $300 annual exclusivity maintenance fee. If you discontinue ordering, the scent may be added to our product line.

Shipping costs vary based on:

• The destination of the order

Yes, we can make candles in almost any vessel! Please email us the following details to receive a quote:

• Dimensions: Height and width of the vessel
• Wax Capacity: Estimated amount of wax the vessel holds (in ounces)
• Quantity Estimate: Number of candles per scent

We don’t add crystals or toppings ourselves, but many of our retailers do after receiving their candles.

If you’d like to add crystals, we recommend using a heat gun to melt a small amount of wax, placing the crystal on top, and letting it cool for a secure finish.

We are unable to change the wax type. All of our products are made using our signature sustainable soy blend to ensure the highest quality and performance.

We are unable to dye or color the wax in our candles. All of our products are crafted with a natural aesthetic to maintain their clean-burning quality.

Yes! We encourage everyone to reuse and recycle cleaned candle containers. All Malaysian Lights candle vessels are 100% recyclable, making them an eco-friendly choice for your home and business.

Proper candle care ensures safety and maximizes the lifespan and performance of your candle.

1. Safety First:

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep candles away from drafts, heat sources, flammable objects, children, and pets.

2. First Burn Matters:

• On the first use, burn the candle until the wax melts across the entire surface to avoid a “memory ring.” A memory ring causes tunneling, which prevents the candle from burning evenly.

3. Burning Tips:

• Always allow the top layer of wax to fully melt into a liquid pool during each burn for the most fragrant scent.
• Keep the wick trimmed to 1/8 inch at all times to avoid excessive smoke or soot.
• Burn Malaysian Lights candles for 90 minutes to 2 hours, and never longer than 4 hours at a time.

4. Storing and Using Candles:

• Store in a cool, dark, and dry place when not in use.
• Discontinue use when 1/2 inch (10mm) of wax remains to prevent overheating or glass breakage.

Malaysian Lights does not accept returns. However, all claims for shortages and/or damages must be reported within 5 calendar days of receiving your order.

After reviewing your request, we will either:

• Complete an exchange, or
• Apply a credit toward a future purchase.

Exchanges or credits will be based on the value of the merchandise at the time of purchase. Please note that shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

Since each order is made specifically for you, cancellations or changes must be requested by 9 AM EST the calendar day after you place your order.

After this time, we cannot cancel or change your order because supplies will have been ordered and production will already be underway.

If your package or items are missing, please notify us within 2 calendar days of the reported delivery date so we can assist in locating it.
